GILBY 2, CLUTTERBUCK 2, STIMSON-MATHERS 2, ECKERSALL, OG

Match Report
Kick Off : 28th Mar 14:15 Location : Jubilee Playing Fields
Cashes Green rounded off their league season with a high scoring victory over a much improved Cam Everside. A hat-trick of braces from Matthew Gilby, Bailey Clutterbuck and Carrick Stimson-Mathers as well as an own goal and an amazing 20 yarder from Luke Eckersall ensured Cashes finished the season on a high.
Cashes started brightly with both Gilby and Counter having good chances on early on and Counters shot was well saved by the keeper. An excellent move starting at the back with Callum Parry and involving Kristian Wylie and Clutterbuck allowed Gilby to opening the scoring with a coolly taken shot. Counter had a couple of good chances as well as Lewes Johnston to double the scoring when his shot flashed across the face of the goal and minutes later hit the post.
Cashes persistence paid off when Eckersall took a throw in on the left and on receiving the ball back floated a great ball in which sailed over the keeper to make it 2-0 and his joy at scoring was apparent.
Gilby made it 3-0 on the stroke of half time after rounding a couple of defenders inside the box.
The second half started with Cashes scoring several goals in a short time, the fourth came from Clutterbuck and he was involved in the fifth goal shortly after which allowed Stimson-Mathers to score. Clutterbuck added his second when the ball was pinging around in the box and it fell for him to convert.
Cam then had chances when they forced a corner which keeper Josh Strange had to save and then Cam were through on goal but unfortunately the shot was wide. The Cashes defence now including Charlie Brown held firm to keep a clean sheet.
It was a corner to Cashes which led to their seventh which Gilby took but went in off a Cam player in trying to clear. Stimson-Mathers then completed his brace and Cashes eighth and final goal, as the ball fell to him to turn in at the far post after it had been bouncing around between Cashes and Cam players.
Oliver Counter was named Cashes Man of the Match.
