The most surprising result of the day was the 4-2 defeat of Spurs, already assured 4th spot in the league, by relegated Burnley. Great credit to Burnley for staging a great comeback after being two goals down. Manchester City fought out a 1-1 draw at West Ham with Wright Phillips canceling out a Boa Morte goal for West.Ham. Arsenal ran out easy winners against Fulham who had the Europa League Final on Wednesday on their minds. Wolves came from a goal down to get the better of Sunderland at Molineux a game in which two Sunderland players received their marching orders late in the game. Aston Villas' recent poor form continued when they slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Sam Allardyce's Blackburn Rovers. A Richard Dunne own goal 6 minutes from the end of the game gave victory for Rovers and a top half finish in the league. Bolton Wanderers finished their season on a high with a 2-1 win over Birmingham City. The only game not producing a goal was at the KC Stadium in which Hull City and Liverpool finished hugely disappointing campaigns with a forgettable draw.
