MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM OUR GOAL
A wonderful season of Sunday football sessions for confidence and self-esteem has come to an end for this year here at Our Goal. For the past 6 weeks we have been on our Teamwork block, where girls learnt the importance of being there for each other on and off the pitch. Thank you to all the girls who came this year, especially to our Christmas session!
PARK FOOTBALL VIDEO OUT NOW
Our recent initiative in partnership with Right to the Streets and GM Moving was a brilliant month of park football. Our Goal created safe spaces for women and girls to get active in public spaces. Watch the final video of the event on Youtube.
SECONDARY SCHOOL MENTORING PROGRAMME LAUNCHES
This December, Our Goal launches its Empowered Girls Programme in a Greater Manchester secondary school.
The Empowered Girls programme is a co-constructed mentoring and physical activity programme designed to empower and inspire teenage girls, especially those who are disengaging with PE. It's all about working with girls, meeting them where they're at, and giving them agency.
PE is challenging for so many girls at school. This programme uses small group sessions to build their confidence and self-esteem and foster positive, long-lasting relationships with physical activity.

MAN CITY V MAN UNITED DERBY
We recently had the opportunity to attend the Manchester City vs Manchester United derby as hospitality guests, thanks to invitations from This Fan Girl, Konami, and Efootball. The match saw a record-breaking attendace at Old Trafford of 43,615.
Before the match, Rosa, Lola, Ina, and Jess from Our Goal FC women's team enjoyed a delicious three-course meal and then headed out to watch the match from extra comfy seats. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will never forget. Thank you!
MISS KICK FUTURE LEADERS
Our Goal is committed to empowering girls and women in football through education and coaching sessions. Our founder, Ella recently had the pleasure of co-designing and delivering a CPD session for the Miss Kick Future Leaders programme. Miss Kick is a global football community creating products which break down barriers to participation for women and girls. In the session, Ella shared her journey to founding Our Goal and we discussed strategies for personal development in and out of football.
WOMEN IN FOOTBALL ENTREPENEURS
Our Goal is committed to empowering women and girls through football. We are thrilled to announce that we have been selected to be part of Women in Football's entrepreneur mentorship programme powered by Xero. This amazing opportunity will support Our Goal in achieving our mission by
giving us practical football business support and mentoring. During our time at the Xero head offices in Milton Keynes, Ella was able to connect with other fantastic female entrepreneurs and learn about their brilliant businesses.
PRESENTATION FOR THE MAYOR
Recently, our founder Ella had the opportunity to present OUR GOAL's community work to the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, and Deputy Mayor Kate Green. It was an honor to share our organization's mission to empower girls and women through football and particularly our project Park Football in partnership with Right to the Streets. We were thrilled to see the support for our work and the impact that it has on the community.
BE EMPOWERED FOOTBALL DAY
Our Be Empowered Football Day was an amazing success, bringing together girls from across Manchester to experience the power of football. With our team of seven female coaches, we spent the day learning, growing, and developing the confidence we need to succeed both on and off the pitch. The afternoon tournament was a highlight, as we put our playing skills to the test. We can't wait to organize more events like this to continue empowering girls and women through football.
