I'm a Pride of Britain 2026 Finalist!

I still can't quite believe I'm writing this...
Here's the full article in The Mirror
I dropped out of sport as a teenager: I wanted to fit in, I couldn't see others around me playing football, and I started to worry about my kit, how it made me look and how it fit me.
Later, after a difficult experience, sport took on a whole new role in life. I remember straight after going back to my first training session already feeling physically stronger, more confident, and more like me.
I realised that everything sport had given me as a child was not unique to me. Physical activity has a transformative power to improve lives. The weekly training to get stronger, the need to be vocal on the pitch, the community of people.
From that moment on, I knew it was (and would always be) my mission to make sure every other girl could access sport to help her be stronger, happier, healthier, and more confident, whatever life might throw at her.
So, I started Our Goal in 2023.
Since then we've now reached over 800 girls across Manchester. 85% are more active. 69% say their wellbeing has improved. We've also created paid and volunteer roles for 18 young people.
To be chosen as a finalist for such a huge award is surreal. I am sooooo buzzing. I'm so grateful to The King's Trust for nominating me and most importantly to you for reading this email and supporting me and my journey with Our Goal so far!
